As a resident of Rowanberries, you will have a private extra care apartment that is bright and airy with quality fixtures and fittings. Each apartment has a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and one or two bedrooms. TV aerial and telephone points are provided in the lounge and bedroom. Each kitchen has a range of wall and base units, a fitted electric oven and hob, and spaces for a fridge and automatic washing machine. Bathroom facilities include non slip flooring, a walk-in level access shower and shaver point. Each apartment is double glazed and has central heating.

Residents have a choice of preparing their own food at home, or alternatively, purchasing meals within the scheme's own restaurant which is open daily. Rowanberries have a highly trained cook who is experienced in meeting special dietary requirements, and regularly consults residents to ensure varied and interesting menus.

At Rowanberries it is important that all residents feel secure. To ensure the residents that they are safe, any visitor has to enter through the main front door, and door entry enables residents to speak to visitors before opening the door, all from the comfort of your own apartment. Help is always at hand with our emergency call system. A pull cord is located in all the apartments/communal areas which allow access to staff in a emergency. Staff respond promptly to calls for help 24 hours a day. Assistive technology is available for added security and monitoring your health when needed.  

The Scheme offers extra care apartments on a range of terms. Eight are available to be purchased outright and six are available through a part-ownership scheme. The other 32 apartments are for rent.  Of the total 46 apartments, ten are reserved for those with dementia, four are adapted for wheelchairs and 26 are two-bed apartments, all available to individuals and couples.
