Research has recently been carried out and nearly 800,000 people aged 45 - 65 fear they cant afford to retire.

982 people in this aged bracket have been asked to do a survey by Standard Life.

Almost 6 % of these people feel they will never be in the position financially to give up work.

21% of people believe plans will no longer be able to support team due difficult economic conditions.

64 % of the people that were asked said they were confident their plans will be strong enough to support them when they retire.

37% of people aged 45 - 65 have made no plans financially for when they retire.
