London: The inaugural Global Awards for the ten best performed individuals, companies and contributors to the Over- 50s housing sector around the world will be presented with a unique trophy, certificate and citation at a gala dinner at Grosvenor House in Park Lane, London on the evening of November 24, 2011.

Over 1200 claimants from 37 countries have been reviewed for these pinnacle honours in the only global event in the Over- 50s housing goods and services sector worldwide. The Global Award event will be held this year in the UK. Next year’s event is pencilled in for New York. The evaluation process is expected to conclude this week. The Global Awards are a response to the growing trend towards internationalisation.

Over- 50sn housing and service providers are increasingly seeking growth and opportunity in developing markets. ~Ideas, plans and service methodologies are saleable and scale-able  commodities. The exemplars beacon interest and underpin a lift in standards. The Over 50s housing sector is a rapid change zone.

Economic and social forces are only one driver of change. The generational baton change, and having two generations over 65 alive at the same time, is providing a new set of challenges.
