Most people are aware of the concept of retirement and sheltered flats which can provide some additional security in a simple form.
Most people are also aware of care and nursing homes.
Many people are, however, not aware of the property options that are available which bridge that gap between sheltered, retirement housing and care homes. This relatively new concept is known as Assisted Living or Homes With Care.
Assisted Living caters for people to remain in their own homes for longer with the knowledge that, should more help be needed in due course, this help would be available from within a community that has been designed to provide the very best environment to enable this to happen.
Assisted Living apartments, houses and bungalows are bought or rented with a “menu” of hotel or care services being available as required. They can be in a small cluster or can be part of a larger Retirement Village which may contain a variety of community facilities such as a restaurant, a pool and a shop.
